What is this new alien movie?

I seen a preview to a movie and its about an alien and he is animated like scooby doo and garfield but its a real life movie and its called by one name the movie.I think but there is this part where he finds a dead bird and brings it back to life and eats it and then says what I wasnt going to eat a dead bird..PLEASE HELP ME I have no cable and I cant watch TV because I dont have a converter box or whatever its called.
